Source: Shelby American Is Launching a Baja-Ready Ford Super Duty Truck

A source sent us a photo and some details on what should be one badass Ford F-250 Super Duty.

The 2026 Ford Super Duty is becoming quite the popular off-roader despite its massive size. The Blue Oval has already announced it has expanded the Tremor package to the lineup and we’ve seen AEV build a rather stonking unit with its FXL. Now Shelby American appears to be getting on the Big Truck Train with its own desert-ready version of the F-250, as this photo and details from our sources indicate.

We’re told the truck will be called the Super Baja and be the first vehicle built at Shelby American’s Bristol, Indiana, facility. It wasn’t indicated which trim level of the F-250 the truck will specifically be based on, but we do know it will feature a 6.7-liter Power Stroke turbodiesel V-8.

From the image, it appears the truck will have an air inlet on the forward part of its hood, some nicely integrated fender flares (which may mean it needs marker lights), and striping, at least as an option. This truck also has a black grille with the Shelby name in it, Raptor-style, but we’re not sure if black will be the only way it comes. There also appears to be an all-new steel front bumper with cutouts to improve the tires’ approach angles and an LED light bar mounted in the center.

The cargo box features a rack with LED light pods mounted on the top bar to help light the path ahead of this monster truck. There also appear to be a pair of spare tires mounted to the rack. We’ve learned all rolling stock consists of 37-inch BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain T/A KM3 tires on 20-inch wheels.

The truck has King off-road racing shocks tuned by Shelby to work with the wheel and tire combination, according to our source. Although that person didn’t call out the use of King’s steering stabilizer kit at the front axle, we can see it in the photo. The Super Baja F-250 appears to get a significant lift on top of the height gained from the 37-inch tires.

Hopefully we’ll learn more about the Shelby American Ford F-250 Baja Super soon, including price, availability, and detailed specs. Stay tuned.
